Hi Roy
Really good question, it has gone quiet.
I doubt it will be in the group of substances for priority assessment under the recast.
As RoHS substance methodology moves closer to REACH I have checked
the European Chemicals Agency website and Beryllium Copper is not, currently, on a list of potential
SVHCs or under the register of intentions.
I donot think it will be included but I am going to do some checking for you.
Best wishes
Gary
Many Thanks,
Roy
Hi Roy
This morning I have received the official document from the UK Government outlining the
103 proposed amendments to the RoHS recast.
A first reading agreement later this year is very possible although not a certainty.
However, I can inform you that "Beryllium and its compounds" sits in the list of the 37
substances that will be considered for priority assessment with a potential restriction in mind.
Hope this helps
Gary
